Responsibilities
Equipment & Systems Maintenance
- Die Casting & Automation Support: Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair high-pressure aluminum die casting machines, auto-ladles, reciprocators, and integrated robotic automation cells.
- Mechanical & Hydraulic Repairs: Perform advanced hydraulic repairs on pumps, valves, and cylinders. Inspect, build, and route hydraulic hoses, pipes, tubing, and fittings. Manage accumulator pre-charging, bleeding, and setting pressure/relief valves.
- Electrical Troubleshooting: Install, replace, and troubleshoot motor controls, contractors, overloads, relays, and limit switches. Install conduit (up to 2” EMT and Rigid) and hardwire field machinery components.
- Tooling & Controls: Understand the functionality of die tooling micro-switches; isolate and wire control devices, and troubleshoot logic issues.
- Furnace Operations: Provide mechanical/structural support for melting and holding furnaces, including the fabrication and replacement of thermocouples.
- Facility & Auxiliary Utilities: Perform routine preventative maintenance and emergency fixes on facility infrastructure, including industrial pumps, air compressors, HVAC units, wastewater processing equipment, and general plumbing.
The essential functions of this role include:
- wearing steel toe shoes
- working in a non-temperature controlled environment
- manual lifting up to 50lbs
- standing for 8 hours at one time
- working up to 8 hrs of overtime per week
