Overhead Crane Operator

Location: Springfield, OH Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour Schedule: Monday Friday | 5 AM 3:30 PM

Job Duties:

• Move coils from the coil bay to presses to support continuous production flow.
• Load and unload coils onto cradles for machine operators.
• Unload incoming coil deliveries from trucks using proper material handling procedures.
• Transport materials between the dock, production areas, shipping areas, and barcode stations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe coil bay and work area.
• Communicate with truck drivers during deliveries and ensure all required paperwork is received and submitted accurately.
• Support production and material handling operations to ensure efficiency.

Requirements:

• Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of related experience is a plus.
• Safely operate an overhead crane.
• Operate propane or electric forklifts as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and company safety standards.
• Maintain awareness of safe lifting, rigging, and material handling practices.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Steel-toe shoes are required.
